Writer's block can be mild, where you will draw a blank for days or weeks. But in severe cases some songwriters may experience writer's block for years! A sweet little exercise I like to do when I run into this problem is the steps listed below: Create New from Old: 1) Pick one of your favorite songs of all time. 2) Starting with the first verse, start changing the words. 3) Next, try singing the song with your words and change the melody or the tempo. 4) After you practice this for a while you will notice the song no longer sounds like the original. Hopefully the new version you created reflects your own creativity and should be usable material.nondisclosed_email@example.com (bvr)Fri, 22 Aug 2014 22:11:22 +0000
